More Healthcare Dysfunction

Welcome to America, home of complete medical dysfunction! In this country, your access to life saving medicines is always contingent on having access to a medical doctor. Don’t know if you noticed, but those are in very short supply right now.

So when your doctor retires without warning (or gets fired from their practice) and you have to go six months without access to a doctor while you sit on waitlists, you’re just kind-of “out of luck” with your “non-refillable” prescriptions. Even though you know the exact drug and dosage and you’ve been taking it for years… “sorry, you have to wait, or go to the ER if it becomes life threatening.”

No, “Universal Healthcare” is not going to fix this dysfunction.

Yes, an open, “free market” might make things risky for people self-medicating, but at least it gives people stuck in the cracks a fighting chance!
