This article from MSN Money really struck me. Lately I’ve been thinking about buying a new vehicle, and part of my reasoning is that I’m working as a techguy at the hospital. My thought is that if I have to drive to one of our remote sites, other people might not think I’m as qualified. My next thought is usually, “Think of who you’re competing with! Guy’s with long hair or weird looks and social inequities. I look much better already!”
