Wong Wisdom

He adds the following afterward:

We have become too fixated on preparing students for jobs. College should, but it should do more than that. We can prepare you for jobs – that’s pretty easy. Can we prepare you for yourself – that’s the tough job. There’s no doubt that students will become well trained for what they’re wanting to do. The part that I worry about, far more frequently, is: are you preparing yourself for fulfilling life. For something that will make you say, “I’m not quite there, so I’m going to keep trying.”
