Kids growing up now-a-days will always wonder why drive letters start on C: and not A: . Go look at the new computers out there… there’re no floppy drives!

I think the company that made floppies finally discontinued to make them. I know I saw some at Tiger Direct, but if you want to get one now it’s only external I think. I almost want to rename my DVD drives A: and B: but I’ll probably never get around to it. Oh and I’m getting a ride tomorrow to ship your gamecube.

Nah. They’ll just erroneously think that “C:” stands for computer.
Of course, before your time was the Commodore days, where your two floppy drives were device numbers 8 and 9. Your printer was device 0, your tape drives were devices 1 and 2, I think 3 through 6 had something to do with RAM, and I think device 7 had something to do with the monitor. I forget — it’s been too long… that’s back in the days of ANSI graphics.
