It’s hard to come up with things to put in my LJ. I don’t really like my job, so don’t expect very many posts about it. Doing computer work has just reminded me why I hate doing computer work. Its really frustrating and I’m doing a lot of reading.
The thing I dislike the most is that I’m taking on the role of “IT guy”. This stereotype involves stupid laughs, poking fun at people, and just being constantly frustrated. It’s not really a stereotype that I want to fulfill. I went into this job with every intention of NOT becoming this. To no avail. I want the role of Media Producer back.
The nice thing is that this job pays REALLY well. I’m starting to get computer parts around for a new system and that makes me feel nice. I’ll finally have a computer that can run Oblivion and the expanded version of Sims 2! My old system was making weird clicking noises. I thought i had a bad hard disk, but from what I can gather through testing the Hard drives are fine. My next guess is the power supply. Grr… whatever, this will be a Linux box soon.
