A few weeks ago I had a crummy day at my temp job and got a letter of regret about a job. Later that night, I said to Valerie, “I’m back at home, back at a job I was doing years ago, and school is starting. My life has gone full circle and I hate where I was at. I’m ready to move on.”
The very next day I get a call from the Hillsdale Hospital offering me a job. I took it, of course, have gone through a physical, blood test, and TB tests. I start this job next tuesday.
I have also found an apartment, or rather, an apartment found me. Grandma found an apartment listing “near the hospital” in the Hillsdale Newspaper. I called, checked it out, have since signed the lease papers and made the down payment.
Other stuff has been falling into my lap as well. I got this beautiful computer desk from the Hillsdale College Rummage Sale; various pictures and decorations from Aunt Iva’s house; today I got a call that said “I’ll take any price for the double bed in [Iva/Marvin]’s house.” So I guess I’ll have a bed, too. Oh, and then there’s the TV, coffee mugs, and various cups and things that I bought from the neighbors garage sale.
I guess all it took was that determination to change. As soon as I made that decision the rest of my life has almost unfolded itself. I feel good about where I’m going, but really, I’m just holding on and enjoying the ride.

Hey man,
I’m glad things are going so well for you. I could use some turn of luck in my way. Now I feel like posting as well and trying to look at my life and see how I can change it. Good luck man.
