I was just watching my RSS ticker (locked exclusively to Digg.com) and saw this article from USA Today, http://www.usatoday.com/news/nation/2007-03-20-names-marriage_N.htm?csp=1 .
It figures that nothing I think about is original. Being a part of the social mind, I had been contemplating this idea of taking on Valerie’s last name, if we were to make it that far. I never thought that it would be complicated, I just assumed I’d mark a check box to change the last name and that’d be the end of it.
I imagine that my brother would say something about “upholding the family honor”, to which I say, “what family?” I relate much more to mom’s side of our family tree anyway and know very little Davenport history. In addition, the name “Mark DeAngelo” has a certain casual broadcast flow that I will need to succeed in the world of radio.
So just to forewarn my friends, don’t be surprised if my name changes when I get married.

it does have a certain credability and calm sensibility to it. I imagine my brother might say the same thing about the issue, but that’s just how he thinks.
I don’t care what name you take as long as the wedding is on the Enterprise Bridge and I’m there. BTW, planning it for my own wedding in case.
