I have the distinct impression that i’m going to end up with someone simply because they can deal with me. I’m sure the number of women who can communicate with me and find some way to live a happy life with me are slim-to-nill.

You have your quirks — we all do. And I think we all “end up” with someone because they can deal with us… specifically, they deal with us so well, that neither one of us can imagine dealing as well with anyone else in the world.

but i agree with mathemusician, the person someone ends up with isn’t the romantic view necessarily shown in movies and such, it of course should have its romance and love, but all the people who find romance and love with people who dont understand them or “get them” are the people who divorce and such.
besides, part of the understanding each other is that you started with caring/love, but the acceptance and understanding also people to build to love, like for example me parents are all like, like each other. seriously, it’s gross. they all like be nice to each other and like even though they argue their like, dude i know why he’s such a bum…lalala…and then they all makeout in front of me, and i go throw up
