Nothing less than our country’s future is at stake.

Oh Em Gee! A media outlet that shows us some context and history! I didn’t realize it was even possible. PLEASE, PLEASE. I beg you, as fellow American Citizens, please watch this episode of Democracy NOW! to hear the back story of the United States in Iran and the Middle East. This story sets the stage for current US foreign policy all over the world and helps us understand why so many people in this world despise our country.

The video may only be online for a few more days, so I’m going to hold onto it in case someone else wants to see it. If you don’t feel like watching the headlines, just skip a little more than half-way through to the interview with Steve Kinzer.

P.S. I had a great time in Milwaukee and at the Video Games Live Concert. Thanks for putting us up in Chicago, Dave!

EDIT: Democracy NOW! did a great job with this story, I urge you to watch that video and support the show. I do understand that most of you don’t want to watch an hour long news program, so I found this on YouTube:
