There was a lively DIY discussion about repurposing disposable-vape batteries.

   • rawaka noted his wife’s vape batteries are ~1000mAh and the 10% charge figure sounds plausible
   • baphometromance joked “if you need a case just buy a vape lol”
   • BigTickEnergE suggested 3D-printing a case from a Thingiverse design or reusing a vape housing
   • oCdTronix praised recovering lithium cells from “disposable” products
   • kalboozkalbooz suggested booster inefficiency or battery degradation as the cause of the low recovery
   • Agreeable_Funny5037 suggested paralleling 10–12 cells into a bigger pack
   • 10248 suggested using chatbots to plan FreeCAD designs.

OP replied throughout and shared an updated build with two matched batteries in parallel inside a miniDV cassette case. Since that update, OP has designed a 3D printed cap that holds the charge controller and converts the old vape canister into a cell phone charger.
