New Office? WTF is a ribbon!?

God Damn! I’m just trying to make a damned outline in Office 2k7. This new office is very frustrating. I hit the button to make an outline “I” and we successfully write the word “Introduction”… I hit enter… … I’m to a blank line! WTF! Why not continue the damned outline format!
And what’s up with the “Ribbon”? For those that haven’t seen, the new version of Office (excluding Outlook), does not have a menu bar. Instead, it has a ribbon of tools. There are 7 tabs that each have big buttons and different tools inside. So to change the font, instead of going to a crammed toolbar (which I liked because I could see all of my options) we go to the “Home” tab of the ribbon and click one of the Font Tools.
I want my file menu back. They should have had the option to revert to the old display.
