Replace the stopper in the tub
Replace the brass stopper in the tub drain with a plastic (non-corroding) stopper.
Items Needed
Instructions
Remove the old stopper by removing the screws from the overflow lever.
May need to open the drain below, plug the drain with a rag, and fill the overflow with cleaner
Follow the instructions to replace the plug/linkage (set the length based on current stopper)
Replace the overflow lever.
Post Analysis
Drain was clogged; stopper returned for credit. In process, broke tub drain away from tub. Replace Tub drain.
