I have now done this questionnaire every year for the last four years. For those who don’t remember last year’s review:<\/i> Jump<\/a><\/p>\n

1) Was 2010 a good year for you?<\/i> This totally depends on how one defines a “good year”. It’s not been a particularly happy, but I’ve had so many amazing life experiences this year that it’d be hard to say it wasn’t a good year.

\n2) What was your favorite moment of the year?<\/i> The whole year was a blur. I guess the first couple of kayak trips were pretty good.<\/p>\n

3) What was your least favorite moment of the year?<\/i> Its a toss up between Grandpa’s funeral, the new system implementation at work, and the moment of realization that Valerie and I shouldn’t be together.<\/p>\n

4) Where were you when 2010 began?<\/i> Sitting at Shanty Creek, drinking alcohol with Val and our friends.<\/p>\n

5) Who were you with?<\/i> Val and Nick and Stephanie and Stephanie and Matt Hudson.<\/p>\n

6) Where will you be when 2010 ends\/ended?<\/i> At a party with Dave and Courtney in Chicago!<\/p>\n

7) Who will you be with when 2010 ends\/ended?<\/i> With Dave and Courtney at least.<\/p>\n

8) Did you keep your new years resolution of 2010?<\/i> Goal was to get organized and develop the intentional community idea, which has not gone so well. I was working so much that, until I quit my job recently, I was unable to do much of anything else. Not until Dec. did I get a chance to start reorganizing.<\/p>\n

10) Did you fall in love in 2010?<\/i> Nope, only broken apart.<\/p>\n

11) If yes, with who?<\/i> That was not a yes answer.<\/p>\n

12) If yes, do they know?<\/i> same<\/p>\n

13) Are you still in love with them?<\/i> Yes. She and I have been through too much to not be friends forever.<\/p>\n

14) Do you regret it?<\/i> Not really. Our lifestyles are just too different.<\/p>\n

15) Did you breakup with anyone in 2010?<\/i> Yes. Val and I, after 4 years.<\/p>\n

16) Did you make any new friends in 2010?<\/i> Kind of. I’ve been pen-paling with new folks I’ve met online.<\/p>\n

17) Who are your favorite new friends?<\/i> I have a new pen-pal who’s job is to encourage “active lifestyles”. That’s kinda awesome.<\/p>\n

18) What was your favorite month of 2010?<\/i> December, just becomes it’s when my life has become my own again.<\/p>\n

19) Did you travel outside of the US in 2010?<\/i> Not this year, I remained domestic.<\/p>\n

20) How many different states did you travel to in 2010?<\/i> To or through? Illinois and Texas are the only states I traveled to, but the train cuts through all states between.<\/p>\n

21) Did you lose anybody close to you in 2010?<\/i> 2010 was the year of Grandpa’s passing.<\/p>\n

22) Did you miss anybody in the past year?<\/i> I have not seen enough of Dave this year. I look forward to spending the new year with him.<\/p>\n

23) What was your favorite movie that you saw in 2010?<\/i> Scott Pilgrim vs. The World<\/p>\n

24) What was your favorite song from 2010?<\/i> I listed mostly to video game covers this year. Something from that.<\/p>\n

25) What was your favorite record from 2010?<\/i> I don’t think I purchased any music this year.<\/p>\n

26) How many concerts did you see in 2010?<\/i> VIDEO GAMES LIVE at the Fox Theater in Detroit.<\/p>\n

27) Did you have a favorite concert in 2010?<\/i> Video Games Live was the only concert.<\/p>\n

28) Did you drink a lot of alcohol in 2010?<\/i> Not really. I’ve become strictly a social drinker.<\/p>\n

29) Did you do a lot of drugs in 2010?<\/i> Almost none even of OTC meds, and nothing harder.<\/p>\n

30) How many people did you sleep with in 2010?<\/i> Just one.<\/p>\n

31) Did you do anything you are ashamed of this year?<\/i> No, I did pretty well this year.<\/p>\n

33) What was the worst lie someone told you in 2010?<\/i> I wouldn’t have known if someone had lied to me. Someday, I’ll rewrite this question.<\/p>\n

34) Did you treat somebody badly in 2010?<\/i> Probably by accident. If I did treat you badly, I apologize.<\/p>\n

35) Did somebody treat you badly in 2010?<\/i> The corporate world.<\/p>\n

36) How much money did you spend in 2010?<\/i> My bank books tell me its around $15,000; almost half what I spent last year.<\/p>\n

37) What was your proudest moment of 2010?<\/i> Making a mostly unplanned trip to Texas by train. That was my epic moment of the year.<\/p>\n

38) What was your most embarrassing moment of 2010?<\/i> Quitting my job without another lined up was slightly embarrassing.<\/p>\n

39) If you could go back in time to any moment of 2010 and change something, what would it be?<\/i> At some time over the last few years, I should have asked Grandpa directly what his vision of the farmstead was.<\/p>\n

40) What are your plans for 2010?<\/i> I have the entire year to ‘find myself’ and figure out how I want to live my life, whether that’s in the mainstream corporate world or some other way.<\/p>\n
