How does his name come about, though. He was taken from his family and does not remember them. Its possible they named him, though it seems unlikely that a highly oppressive guild would not rename someone. Or perhaps he has a nickname. What would his nickname be? He&#8217;s well known in school, but not exactly popular. Maybe Julie gets sick of calling him Mark or Marcus, thinking that the name sounds snooty. What kind of pet name would she give him?<\/p>\n<p>Lets move back to this school. Aristocratic Mages that control an oppressive world government from the shadows. They try to remain mysterious but are too arrogant for their own good. I imagine this school is like a college campus with Dormitories, green spaces, classrooms, a library, and other similar places. This campus is large. I overestimate it at half the size of NY Central Park. Being this big, how do they keep it hidden? Maybe some form of magic power. Maybe its not hidden and they&#8217;re just a large fence around it. Do they need a fence? How do they keep the children\/students inside? Propaganda: &#8220;You are the future of this world! You are better than everyone else! You have POWER!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>More about Marcus. He&#8217;s very naive. Being taken and isolated from the world has made him booksmart but everything in the world is his first experience. Marcus has never seen a natural snowfall, or enjoyed a walk through an overgrown forest, or played with puppies and kittens. So even though he&#8217;s in his early 20s he is viewing life almost like a 7 year old; able to understand and captivated by seemingly insignificant things. From his schooling, Marcus is an atheist. He sees the world as a series of cause\/effect (action\/reaction) situations. Julia is far the other way. Julie is a spiritualist who believes that life is a series of pushes from Divine forces. As a child she went to a more liberal catholic church where she attended sunday school. Her parents wanted her to have a spiritual education, but didn&#8217;t feel it necessary for her to continue with the Catholicism.<\/p>\n<div class='lj-moods-meta'><b>Current Mood:<\/b> accomplished<br\/><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;m writing out information about Marcus, the main character in my story who can travel between dimensions.
