Being a part of the social mind, I had been contemplating this idea of taking on Valerie&#8217;s last name, if we were to make it that far.  I never thought that it would be complicated, I just assumed I&#8217;d mark a check box to change the last name and that&#8217;d be the end of it.<\/p>\n<p>I imagine that my brother would say something about &#8220;upholding the family honor&#8221;, to which I say, &#8220;what family?&#8221;  I relate much more to mom&#8217;s side of our family tree anyway and know very little Davenport history.
