While my wife was (we thought) dying of COVID-19 in a hospital bed years ago, I was hopelessly stressed out acting as a single father to two kids. When their favorite toy ran out of batteries, my mind just compounded on the idea that I would have to drop what we were doing to go out to the store to keep it running and give them some semblance of hope and distraction. Then it occured to me: I have an Echo! I asked it how much batteries cost, and when the price seemed reasonable, I said, &#8220;buy it now.&#8221; Those batteries got to me the next day and it was such a small relief! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I&#8217;ve checked around and, in my area of the US Midwest, Amazon still has the cheapest per-piece price on batteries.
