I was on the phone with Courtney, so i wasn&#8217;t thinking as i put it together.  This is what i came up with.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/myweb.nmu.edu\/~madavenp\/nonweb\/collage.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This is what I think it means:<\/p>\n<p>After coming home for the summer, i&#8217;m in a sort of employment limbo.  This limbo is at the forfront of my attention (help wanted signs in corners).<br \/>\nThe right side of this collage represents my ideal self: caring (father and child fishing), sweet\/romantic (man kissing woman), laid back\/relaxed (guy sleeping), entertaining (dancing couple).  I dont live up to this expectation, which leads me to feel lost (foggy dock).<br \/>\nThe pictures on the left side of the canvas are medaphores to my feelings of frustration (notice that these are the only tilted pictures): trying to get away from the problem (running through rain), struggling to do better (man climbing rope), wishing that it would all come to an end (man with gun).<br \/>\nThe things that keep me balanced are meditation or reflection (man in desert) and healthy eating (food).<\/p>\n<div class='lj-moods-meta'><b>Current Mood:<\/b> artistic<br\/><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I took a survey online that asked me to make a collage that expresses how i feel about my life.
