This week was apparently A/V Week. Here’s the proclamation:
The audiovisual industry is improving people’s lives through lifesaving technology; and
AV equipment and services are used to protect our nation’s security through command and
control facilities; and…millions of students on the K-12 level and in the collegiate setting are receiving an
enhanced educational experience through use of AV information communications technology; and
the audiovisual industry provides entertainment value to millions of sports fans and concert
goers; and…the audiovisual industry allows companies to meet with customers, shareholders and others
around the world without leaving their boardroom; and…networked digital signage helps consumers receive critical information in real-time; and
the audiovisual industry is a $55 billion industry worldwide; and…during this week, all over the nation, community outreach projects will be performed by the
audiovisual industry.NOW, THEREFORE, I, M. William Davenport (Engineer, A/V Student Technician), do hereby proclaim “This is A/V Week and I proudly serve as an A/V Guy!”
