Updates

So I went up north to see my parent’s new house. It was a dump. It has potential, though, i’ll give it that. Yesterday they were pulling up the metal piping in the well by hand. Three big guys with pipe wrenches and a car jack trying to pull the well apart. These 25 foot pieces of metal pipe were going up into the air right next to the power lines. I would have just had a new well put in elsewhere, but they have the time to fix the old, that’s why they took on this project. So now they have my grandparent’s 5th wheel camper and power. Now if they could only get the water working they’ll be set and ready to work on everything else. You gotta have those essentials first, though.

On the way back home, my grandparents wanted to stop and see our cousin at the “Rehabilitation Center”. It’s pretty much a nursing home for people with brain injuries. This is a second or third cousin of mine from California, who happened to be visiting Mount Pleasant. I guess he got into a fight and got his brains knocked out (figuratively, not literally). Seeing him there at the Center wasn’t as grusome as I thought it’d be. He breathes on his own, they just had a feeding tube in him that was tucked discreatly under his shirt. His eyes are open, he coughs, and he moves slightly, but he really isn’t aware of what’s going on.
It may be unbelievable for most people to read, but I am very empathic. Oftentimes, I attempt to put myself in someone else’s shoes. It was very strange for me to look at this cousin lying in the bed. I sort of had this feeling that his conciousness was in a heavy fog. This fog is a mix of two feelings. One feeling reminded of the time I passed out at Bernies (everything sounding really distant and a splotchy tunnel-vision). The other is that feeling of delusion when you get a super high fever.
I also started to wonder what happens to a spirit from a body like this? Does it get stuck in the body, not able to communicate or move? Or is it detatched and free to roam, leaving the body to fend for itself as the spirit attempts to make a journey back to the damaged mind? Which would be better/worse? What is a guardian to do for this person? If the body dies, the spirit will most certainly be let go of the damaged body, but is that the right solution? Is this a Karmic situation, where all people involved are gaining “Karma Points” and learning valuable spiritual lessons?

… the questions continue, most without answers.
